Empowering with Dignity

Empowering with Dignity treats menstrual health as a practical problem as much as an educational one. Each session combines open discussion of menstrual health and hygiene with hands-on making, so participants leave with a reusable pad they made themselves and the method to make more.

Sessions are hosted where participants already are, in a ward hall, a workplace or a community space, rather than requiring travel to a central venue. That decision is deliberate: attendance holds, and women who could not otherwise spare a full day are able to take part.

The same sessions carry psychosocial wellbeing and stress-management content, and often lead into the vocational skills strand: soap making, bangle making and compost production.
